BASCO Consulting is led by Bryn Skilbeck, who brings 25 years major event planning and strategic experience to every project. BASCO also retains a wide range of partners and contacts around Australia who are available to provide specific project support whenever required.
BRYN SKILBECK
Director, BASCO Consulting
After working in a wide range of roles across the events industry from 1996 - 2006, Bryn created Right Angle Events - which quickly grew to become one of Australia's most respected event creation and delivery companies. Right Angle delivered 78 major event projects between 2007 and 2015 for clients such at the City of Melbourne, Visit Victoria, Auckland City Council, NewsCorp, AFL and Melbourne Festival.
After successfully negotiation the sale of Right Angle in 2015, BASCO consulting was born - delivering strategy and event planning projects to regions and event organisers across Australia.
In 2017, Bryn took on a new role as Head of Tourism and Major Events for the Sunshine Coast Council - creating a new vision for the region through the Sunshine Coast Major Events Strategy 2018-2028, and a full restructure of the region's event sponsorship program.
After five great years, Bryn departed SCC Council in May 2022 - ready to work again as a consultant to event organisations and regions across the country.

The most important planning process (and often the most overlooked) is to clearly articulate what you are trying to achieve, and define the outcomes you are seeking. BASCO has worked with sponsors, regions and organisers to enter each planning or negotiation phase with a clear definition of success.
